G—NEWS (DILI) — The official visit of the Prime Minister of Australia, Anthony Norman Albanese, to the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste (RDTL) took place in an atmosphere of respect, friendship, and strong diplomatic goodwill.

Upon arrival at Presidente Nicolau Lobato International Airport, Prime Minister Albanese and his delegation were accorded a ceremonial welcome, highlighted by traditional Timorese dances that reflected the rich cultural heritage of Timor-Leste and symbolized a warm reception for the visiting head of government.

Prime Minister Anthony Norman Albanese was officially welcomed by the Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, alongside President José Ramos-Horta.

The presence of both national leaders underscored the importance of the visit and the close diplomatic relations between Australia and Timor-Leste, built on mutual respect, regional partnership, and long-standing cooperation.

The official program commenced with a bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Albanese and President José Ramos-Horta.
